TGIFF – THANK GOODNESS IT’S FOURTH FRIDAY! DANCE TO THE PRANKSTERS 18-PIECE BIG BAND – EVERY 4TH FRIDAY (except December & February 2010)
The Grieg Lodge 4th Friday big band dance invites you to get your retro groove on. Learn or polish your ballroom dance steps with Mary Ann Carter class from 7:30 - 8:30pm, and then strut your stuff to the Pranksters big band from 8:30 - 11pm. Oslo Lounge opens at 7:30.
Admission
Ballroom: $5 for Sons of Norway members, $8 for non-members,
Oslo Lounge (bar): no charge
Tonight's TGIFF dance (Thank Goodness It's Fourth Friday) at Portland's historic Norse Hall is dedicated to helping those affected by Japan's devastating quake and tsunami. Proceeds, along with donations collected through the evening, will go to support Red Cross efforts to deliver relief and supplies in the hardest hit areas.
So come for some great live music and dancing in one of the best ballrooms in town, and help our brother and sisters in Japan. Doors and Oslo Lounge open at 7:30. Dance lesson with Mary Ann Carter from 7:30-8:30. Dance from 8:30-11:00pm. Admission $8 (GL members $5) - or more if you can give it! All ages event.
